France Génétique Elevage is the national value chain organization for the genetic improvement of ruminants, bringing together all the organizations stakeholders of breeding programs and those representing livestock farmers. France Génétique Elevage is responsible for managing, monitoring and optimizing this major national collective system.

Quality Management System

Since 2008, France Génétique Elevage has engaged its entire system framework and the allied organizations in an overarching Quality Management System (QMS). This QMS covering all technical organizations and all the breeds has been designed to standard ISO 9001. It is officially recognized at international level and was awarded the ICAR (International Committee for Animal Recording) Certificate of Quality.
