FGE’s Quality Policy Statement

Users and actors in the national genetic improvement and animal identification–traceability systems all expect these set-ups to be continually re-adapting, responding and gaining in efficiency. This is what has prompted the 2008 move by France Génétique Elevage to co-engage these systems in an overarching Quality Management System.

International recognition

The Quality Management System covering the French genetic improvement system has been designed to standard ISO 9001: 2008. It is able to consolidate and optimize the legacy management measures (rules and procedures, protocols, specifications, control and surveillance procedures…). The performance quality of this QMS is now officially recognized at international level.

Particular specifications

Specifications stipulating conditions governing the transmission of information tied to artificial insemination, recordings and certification of cattle pedigree and parentages, management control over registration numbers given to insemination technicians, and the use of national-scale genetics information systems.
