France Génétique Elevage’s stand was again the central plateform of French bovine, ovine and caprine genetics during the Paris International Agriculture Show, whose 50th edition attracted nearly 700,000 visitors and the whole French livestock sector, from February 23 to March 3, 2013.

With this meeting and social space, appointments were numerous with our European partners, and foreign delegations wishing to better know the French genetics, its products and its expertise.

With the Ministry of Agriculture and the embassies of France, FGE has hosted a dozen ministerial and professional delegations from Russia, Ivory Coast, Burma, Colombia, Tunisia, Albania, Bulgaria, Morocco, Mongolia... For two of them (Mongolia and Albania), these meetings were supplemented by study tours a week, organized in the context of ongoing actions.

France Génétique Elevage also had the honor of hosting many French public figures. The President of the Republic, François Hollande, and M. Ministers Stéphane Le Foll, Guillaume Garot, Benoît Hamon and Nicole Bricq were welcomed by PL. Gastinel, FGE Secretary General and Bernard Roux, Chairman of the Beef Cattle Committee, of FGE.

A new opportunity to highlight the role of genetics in the development of French livestock and in the country’s trade balance with, on average, 70,000 breeding stock and 3 million doses of semen exported annually.

FGE member organizations have also contributed to various international events, in conjunction with the Ministry of Agriculture :
