France Génétique Elevage is awarded the ICAR (International Committee for Animal Recording) Quality Certificate for its 5 genetic chains
On July 19, 2019, following 4 days of auditing which took place on our territory, France Génétique Elevage’s Quality Certificate has been renewed for 5 years. Thanks to the precise descriptions of the processes, the mutual trust between the organizations and the group spirit of the actors of the French Genetic System, ICAR has confirmed the excellence of the organization by renewing its Quality Certificate.
The maintenance of this certification is the result of an important collective work provided by the organizations that contribute daily to the functioning of the French Genetic System.
France Génétique Elevage coordinates and manages the French collective system for the genetic improvement of cattle, sheep and goat breeds within the framework of the inter-professional system.
ICAR, an international NGO made up of 119 members from 52 countries, created in Rome in 1951, develops internationally recognised standard methods to guarantee the quality of identification, registration of parentage and performance and genetic evaluations of ruminants.
This Quality Certificate benefits all the companies and organisations involved in its field and reinforces France’s international reputation.
